This work asks the question, what exactly does it mean to be HD? If a thing is highly defined, in the contemporary moment, it is heralded as being the pinnacle of the most advanced delimitation. It is within this discourse that we sought to present a disruption to what we call a “Newtonian Visuality.” We have combined two practices to critique the whole. The first involves presenting a high-definition television with itself (feedback photography), while the second involves a photographic problematization of “landscape” through the macro (HD) re-presentation of the Cypress Lake region. Each image a line of flight — a departure from definition.
